The maps located at the beginning of hiking trails or at the bottom of
skiing slopes are in large format to make the natural terrain better
perceivable. The designer draws a new, artificial scenery that is less
intimidating than the natural one. Certain details are left out, others are
enhanced.

Hikers then venture into a real, natural environment based on an unreal,
intellectual conceptualization of it.

By looking closely at these scraps, the specific traits of the drawings
and the print's matter create a new set of structures, marks and spaces.
